Yearly Timeline

Each year we have three Young Company sharings in the Weston Studio, including 2 shows. Shows are made in collaboration with Bristol Old Vic’s Young SixSix Company. All sharings and shows are included in your Young Company membership at no extra cost.

January show - A cast of 10-15 Young Company members in Year 10-11 to 16-25. The show is cast at the start of the Autumn term, and rehearsals are Wednesday and Friday evenings with intensives over the October half-term. Directed by the Young Company Trainee Director.

Springboard (end of Spring term) - An informal sharing day for all members of Young Company. Groups create short devised pieces. The Junior sessions perform in their rehearsal spaces, and Senior groups perform in the Weston Studio.

April show - Age range and cast size varies, though never younger than Year 9 or older than 16-25. The show is cast at the start of Spring term. Previous projects include participating in National Theatre Connections Festival, our in-house Young Artists Showcase programme [link], and the Bill Cashmore: One Act Play prize with the Lyric Hammersmith.
